Stripes and Road Trips
Does anyone ever go through those days where literally everything makes you laugh? This was one of those days! I picked up this dress at a local boutique and immediately loved it because I can wear it to work and I wouldn’t mind wearing it to class either. The link above is a similar dress since the one I am wearing is a boutique brand it was hard to find a similar one online! Anyways, any dress that I can wear with some comfortable shoes has my name all over it!
Last night my boyfriend and I road tripped down the hill to my house for a little dinner with my dad and to grab a few things from my house for my new apartment. We had such a great time just enjoying each other’s company and listening to some good music! The drive is always so pretty that I never really mind the 45 minutes, and the food at the end of the drive was definitely worth it. I have always loved a good hamburger, I try to stay away from red meat (unless it came from a deer I killed or my grandparent’s farm) but I have always been weak when it comes to George’s in Fort Smith! They have the absolute best burgers in town and you always end up seeing someone that you know. Last night we ran into one of my friend’s dad from high school and it made me realize how out of touch I really am with the people I hung out with back then. Time sure does have a way of putting space between people and before you realize it, it has been 4 years since you have caught up with anyone you hung out with every single day in high school. I guess that is just life, but it made me a little sad.
This morning was also a little bittersweet because I dropped my boyfriend off at the airport for his family vacation. I know spending almost a month in Italy should have curbed my vacation cravings, but at this point, in the summer a beach is calling my name! I love the beach in Destin so I am extremely jealous of all of the food and sun he will be getting next week!
What is your favorite family vacation destination? My family is always looking for new and exciting places to see so I would love to hear about yours!
